The Facts.—Relator, a Russian subject, was ordered to be deported on the ground that he entered the United States illegally, in that he came immediately into the United States via Mexico, without having resided in Mexico for two years as required by statute of aliens entering through a foreign country, and was held in custody. The Soviet Government had not been recognised by the United States. He applied by writ of habeas corpus for his release.
