Disposition: Leave to appeal is considered, and, pursuant to MCR 7.302(F)(1), in lieu of granting leave to appeal, we VACATE the Court of Appeals May 8, 1998, order, and REMAND this case to the Court of Appeals for reconsideration. On reconsideration, the case shall be consolidated with Cox v. Board of Regents of the University of Michigan, --- Mich. ----, 587 N.W.2d 283 (1998), and Maskery v. University of Michigan Bd. of Regents, --- Mich. ----, 590 N.W.2d 65 (1999), for the purposes of filing briefs and appendices on appeal and presenting oral arguments.
