Docket NumberSupreme Court Case No. 22S-DI-218
Parties In the MATTER OF: Marco A. Genesis MORENO, Respondent
CourtIndiana Supreme Court
Published Order Indefinitely Suspending Respondent from the Practice of Law in Indiana for Repeated Noncooperation

On June 28, 2022, pursuant to a show cause petition filed by the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission, this Court ordered Respondent to show cause why Respondent should not be immediately suspended from the practice of law in this state for failure to cooperate with the Commission's investigation of grievance No. 22-0994 filed against Respondent, and further why Respondent should not be indefinitely suspended for repeated failures to cooperate. The order required that Respondent show cause in writing within ten days of service of the order. Respondent has not submitted a response to the Court's order to show cause. On July 12, 2022, the Commission filed a "Request for Ruling and to Tax Costs" asserting that Respondent still has not cooperated, to which Respondent has not responded.

Being duly advised, the Court ORDERS, pursuant to Admission and Discipline Rule 23 (10.1)(c)(5), that Respondent be indefinitely suspended from the practice of law for repeatedly failing to cooperate with the disciplinary process, effective immediately.

Respondent is already under suspension as ordered in Case No. 22S-DI-152 and also is under suspension for continuing legal education noncompliance. Respondent is ordered to fulfill the continuing duties of a suspended attorney under Admission and Discipline Rule 23(26). To be readmitted to the practice of law in this State, Respondent must cure the causes of all suspensions in effect and successfully petition this Court for reinstatement pursuant to Admission and Discipline Rule 23(18)(b).

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to Admission and Discipline Rule 23 (10.1)(d), that Respondent reimburse the Disciplinary Commission $522.39 for the costs of prosecuting this proceeding.

All Justices concur.
