The instant matter is before the Court on its own motion. After due consideration, the Court finds the Rules and Regulations Governing Certified Court Reporters shall be amended as set forth in Exhibit A.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Rules and Regulations Governing Certified Court Reporters is amended as set forth in Exhibit A. The amendment is effective immediately.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court shall spread this Order upon the minutes of the Court and shall forward a true copy hereof to West Publishing Company for publication in the next edition of the Mississippi Rules of Court and in the Southern Reporter, Third Series (Mississippi Edition).

EXHIBIT A
III. APPLICATIONS FOR CERTIFICATION OR TEMPORARY PERMISSION AS A NONCERTIFIED COURT REPORTER OR AS A NONRESIDENT COURT REPORTER
(B) Qualifications of Applicants. Applications shall be screened by the Board, and those applicants eighteen (18) years of age or older and of good moral character and a resident of the State of Mississippi, where applicable, shall be deemed eligible to take the Mississippi BCCR Examination and considered for Temporary Permission as a Noncertified Court Reporter, or considered for Temporary Permission as a Nonresident Court Reporter, or considered for Certification by Reciprocity. If applying for Temporary Permission as a Noncertified Court Reporter, an application must be filed with the Board at least thirty (30) days before the date fixed for examination. Each applicant shall be advised of the time and place the examination will be conducted, and the dates for said examinations shall be posted on the Board's website.
V. TEMPORARY PERMISSION AS A NONCERTIFIED COURT REPORTER (MISSISSIPPI RESIDENCY REQUIRED) (B) Temporary Permission may be granted upon a finding by the Board that the applicant is eighteen (18) years of age or older, is of good moral character, is a resident of the State of Mississippi, and has previously been a competent practicing reporter in another state that is not governed by certification and/or licensure rules and regulations or attended a court reporting program with a passing grade at the speed of 225 words per minute of Multi-Voice Testimony (Question and...
