In the exercise of this Court's supervisory authority, the Appellate Court, Second District, is directed to vacate its judgment in People v. Cavazos, case No. 02-12-0171 (03/31/15). The appellate court is directed to consider the effect of this Court's opinion in People v. Buffer 2019 IL 122327, on the issue of whether defendant's sentence constitutes a de facto life sentence in violation of the Eighth Amendment and Miller v. Alabama, 567 U.S. 460 (2012), and determine if a different result is warranted.
