In lieu of granting leave to appeal, the prosecutor is to show cause in writing, in this Court, within 28 days after April 7, 1987, why the defendant's conviction should not be reversed on the grounds that (1) failure of trial counsel to prepare adequately for a defense of accident deprived defendant of a fair trial, (2) the trial judge abused his discretion in failing to grant a continuance to retain counsel, (3) the trial judge erred in refusing to qualify defendant's expert witness, (4) it was error to refuse to instruct the jury on voluntary manslaughter, and (5) defendant's statement, taken while he was hospitalized, was involuntary.
