ORDER

On order of the Court, the certification by the Court of Appeals pursuant to Administrative Order 1984-2 that its decision in this case conflicts with its decision in People v. Fernandez (On Remand), 164 Mich.App. 485, 417 N.W.2d 540 (1987), and the application for leave to appeal are considered. Leave to appeal is GRANTED, limited to the issue whether a person sentenced to life imprisonment for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder is eligible for parole consideration under M.C.L. Sec. 791.234(4); M.S.A. 28.2304(4) and, if so, what is the proper retroactive effect of such a decision.

We further ORDER that this case be argued and submitted to the Court together with the cases of People v. Jahner, --- Mich. ---, 425 N.W.2d 93 (1988), People v. Dudgeon, --- Mich. ---, 425 N.W.2d 94 (1988), and People v. Tipsword, --- Mich. ---, 425 N.W.2d 94 (1988), at such future session of the Court as all cases are ready for submission.

Persons or groups interested in the determination of the question may move the Court for permission to file briefs amicus curiae.
