ON REMAND FROM THE FLORIDA SUPREME COURT

This case is before us on remand from the Florida Supreme Court, which quashed that portion of this court's opinion in J.A.R. v. State , 331 So.3d 220 (Fla. 2d DCA Oct. 16, 2020), pertaining to the imposition of the public defender fee and remanded the case with directions to reinstate the $100 public defender fee. State v. J.A.R. , 318 So.3d 1256 (Fla. June 3, 2021). This court originally reversed imposition of the $100 public defender fee and remanded for the fee to be stricken. 331 So.3d 220. Based on the opinion of the Florida Supreme Court, we now affirm the imposition of the $100 public defender fee. On remand the trial court should reimpose the $100 public defender fee if it has not already done so. J.A.R. need not be present for the reimposition of the fee.
